Thoughts provoked.. 

ZEPHYRIX'07..backstage...

When ever we say august the first thing that struck our mind would be ‘aug-15^th Independence day’, and a whole gossip about govt holiday.&.flags..but this year it was about aug 25^th – Zephyrix, sairam, CSE dep,Fun…. summa athirichilla….
Yes guys this post is about our symposium Zephyrix’07 feel the breeze!!! well then the caption tweened as …felt the tornado???(cant explain its hit even more simpler)
First thing was about the mind blowing name ‘zephyrix.’(in greek zephyr means breeze)
Totally 8 ppl worked on OD for a week to finalize this name.. (still wonder wats wrong with the name jalaja nalla jalsa… )any way thnx to aishu,divs,booby and ‘xyz’ obsessed vijay….

Then our controversial sponsor broacher was designed.. thx to Praveen..
Poster was the next thing that was designed by our zephyrix team…I am really proud to say that in our poster ‘every thing was done from scrap’ kudos to our junior shakthi..

As the day was nearing every one in zephyrix team were working hard…(except the presentation team)..

Now…it wont be fair on my part if I dint mention about the sponsors team.(how much they got!!!) vijay and co…
Well certificate was an excellent work by Praveen..and raga.. Surprisingly after printing, the hard copy looked exactly the same as soft copy …. I am damn sure it never happened before..
Apparently the presentation team was worried about the intro and was busy collecting resources…well kavin and prasi completed a file(a really cute one…)
Kudos to raga for designing our banners….(gr8 work da machan..)

And then came 24^th august which we expected to be a njoyable eve but turned out to be a nightmare.. Misunderstanding with our radio partner(big fm),
The idea of rubix cube rotating, planned for next days rangoli was dropped,
Presentation was still under process..

So the presentation team stayed in the col for that night..
mahesh and samba went to big fm office hoping the dispute would get over
shakthi and some 2^nd yr girls headed by punitha mam were redoing the rangoli for the whole night..( a tuff job..)
well myself and arun were in lab doing the presentation(still no idea about the intro..)…raga stayed till 8 and helped us with the presentation..
ragavananthan our dept chairman helped us lot,mainly conveincing our hod (in many matters)..

then Mahesh joined us that night (he came to col in an auto late that night)..the clock struck 11..the presentation team started working for the whole night, while mahesh was taking 10 min nap for every hour..by morning 7 all the files were completed without audio..oops the intro wasn’t ready till now…(throughout the night I feared about the ZEPHYRIX’s success.. as time passes..the fear grew like a dark in night..)

the day kicked off, busses arrived at our campus, by 9:15am when rama came and told me that the head count crossed 620. and still on the rise ...the fear with in me just turned into an gr8 zeal.

The inaugural function stared as scheduled and its time for our presentation…
We started our movie..and took a seat, eagerly waiting for crowds response (we felt how the directors would feel when they release their movie) the crowds roar increased as our col intro took speed…and when the zephyrix intro stared …that’s it we were flying high…. Audience shout were breaching our ears…. Presentation was a gr8 hit ..

Every events were planned and executed perfectly especially web designing event headed by periasamy sir

820…820…820…820…820…820…820…820…820…820…820…820…was the total count at the end of the day…820 participants is not a small number to our col …. We couldn’t have manage such a crowd without our dear. juniors…….
The most beautiful thing was ALL the students in our dept volunteered on the 25^th ,tnx to the volunteers who helped in the sai cafeteria (the main committee )..

Then came the most important event adzap.. Judged by our friend bigfm RJ yoyo.. in which srm pals won the prize and we had our host performance..(pasanga pattaye kilapittanga)..

later we were entertained by yoyo’s rj hunt… then we had to play our presentation movie once again for our students who couldn watch it in morning ..and it was better than the morning show…I could still remember babbu shouting us from the back for having a spl intro for CTS….

Then yoyo left our col with a bang....

Now its time to bid farewell to zephyrix…the valedictory function started with prize distribution then we had a speech from our dept vice chairman- raga(while junior girlz were shouting his name”raga my love”)..then we had our hod speaking about our zephyrix…later we had a photo session

then we all returned home with a mixed emotions cause zephyrix was a phenomenal hit but this was our last festival………….
